Armthorpe Swimming Club is a competitive and lifesaving club it is not for casual swimmers who should use the DCLT facilities at Armthorpe and other Leisure Centres.

In C squad entry is by assessment and we are looking for swimmers who can swim 25 mtrs in 3 strokes to a reasonable standard. Swimmers are usually 6-9 yrs old who have aspirations to either become a competitive swimmer or move into our lifesaving section.

It is important to note from the outset that not all swimmers will progress within the club as we have more young swimmers entering than exiting the club. Development of the swimmers is continually monitored with the final decision as to their future being made in their 10th year. Sadly we are unable to keep swimmers in C Squad past this age as we must continue to make room for younger swimmers to develop.
