The Mets Marvels 2016

The weekend of 8th / 9th October saw the Armthorpe swimming community descend upon Adwick Leisure Centre. The Mets still means a great deal to the swimmers of Doncaster and competition is still fierce between all the clubs with top girl and boy spots up for grabs.

The swimmers on the day were:

Callum Broadhead - 2 personal bests and 4 medals

Freya Brooke - 4 personal bests and 2 medals

Seth Brooke - 3 personal bests and 3 medals

Emily Cota - 5 personal bests and 2 medals

Elizabeth Ellis - 3 personal bests and 3 medals. This was Elizabeth's first big meet and she really took to the competition well

Lois Fillingham - 5 personal bests and 4 medals

Andrwe Garbutt - 1 personal best and 2 medals

Marise Garbutt - 4 personal bests and 5 medals

Joseph Greenhalgh - 3 personal bests and 1 medal

Mark Hanson - 3 personal bests and 4 medals

Tom Harris - 4 personal bests and 4 medals

Nicholas Honeybone - 5 personal bests and 5 medals. Nick missed out on the Top boy spot on countback, he'll come stronger next year :)

Sam Honeybone - 1 personal best and 4 medals

Eve Horseman - 4 personal bests

Amber Hunter - 5 personal bests and 5 medals. Amber won the Top Girl award this year, the training and hard work is really paying off.

McKenzie Jackson - 4 personal bests and 5 medals

Dzulija Karnevska - 3 personal bests and 5 medals

Eleanor Lakin - 4 personal bests and 2 medals

Ben Long - 1 personal best and 3 medals

Lottie McCay - 1 personal best

Paige Moore - 3 personal bests

Hannah Newnham - 2 personal bests and 5 medals. Welcome to Armthorpe Hannah, Top Girl with 4 gold medals.

Amelia Scanlan - 1 personal best

Ajay Scott - 5 personal bests and 5 medals. Brilliant performance Ajay and a well deserved Top Boy trophy (still to arrive!)

Ben Stilborn - 2 personal bests and 1 medal. This was Ben's first away meet and he handled the pressure well.

Nicole Stilborn - 4 personal bests and 4 medals

Ben Wilson - 3 personal bests and 4 medals

So we have 3 Top Boy/Girls and 85 personal bests (a conversion rate of 78%). Well done swimmers, once again you were a credit to the club.
