A massive thank you to Harvey for coming along and delivering another fantastic masterclass for our swimmers!
Also, a big thank you to all of our coaches who attended and got involved. Hopefully everyone picked up some new coaching tips and ideas that we can bring into our sessions and continue developing our swimmers.
It’s great to see our coaching team learning, sharing ideas and always looking for ways to make the club even better.
Thanks again, Harvey really appreciate your time and expertise

RLSS Life Saving Instructor Course
Manvers Lake, Rotherham
Course Leader: Kim Kilner (Rotherham Life Saving Club)
Sunday 25th May 2025 from 9.00am - 5:30pm. The course is a mixture of theory and practical work.
Attendees from Armthorpe Kingfishers Life Saving Academy:
Thomas, Ella, Georgia, Sandra, Andrew, Mary (and Ian, as support for our group)
Transport provided by Ian and Andrew
This opportunity will give our volunteers the opportunity to showcase, practise, refine and improve their skills in Life Saving and in leading lane sessions.
A HUGE well done to our volunteers at our Life Saving Club who, over recent weeks, have been involved in adding to their qualifications by attending RLSS training courses and taking qualifications.
We are SO proud of the efforts, commitment and achievements of our trainee instructors at the club who will, by the summer break have completed their probationary period and will hold the full NLA Instructor qualification in addition to those they currently hold.
There are photos posted here, of today’s full day course.
Many, many thanks are extended to Ian and Andrew, who got us safely to Manvers Lake and back, and also to Kim, of Manvers, for her wonderful commitment and support of our club and for leading today’s training. Special thanks again, to Ian who gave up his Sunday to support us on our course.
An amazing group of volunteers of whom the club is, justifiably, very proud.
